About Life Skills Awareness
Our Mission Statement
Diligently working to provide high-quality mental health services to those in need regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status, or political affiliation.
Philosophy
At Life Skills Awareness (LSA), we believe that everyone deserves access to mental health services, regardless of what stage of life they are in.
About our Team
The therapists at LSA utilize a systematic and holistic approach to our individual, couples, family, and group therapy services. Our goal is to identify problems and provide interventions that implement change and support throughout the therapy process and beyond. Early intervention, family inclusion, and utilization of community resources are essential to LSA’s treatment approach.
Life skills are essential problem solving behaviors that we need to appropriately and responsibly manage our personal lives. Overall, life skills are a specific set of skills that assist you in your everyday life like using and balancing your bank account, locating community resources, creating a budget, living with a recovery issue (drug/alcohol, physical, or mental), preparing for a career and/or looking for a job, self-perception, and how you perceive others.
Everyone acquires life skills from their parents, and others through experience and observation, so at Life Skills Awareness, our office utilizes systemic and holistic practices to help our clients identify and achieve goals. Life skills needs are different for each person and depend on your life circumstances, culture, beliefs, age, geography, morals, etc. Life skills are not always taught directly but often learned indirectly through experience and practice, and they help us to accomplish our desire to live to our fullest potential.
Life Skills Awareness professionals meet the client where they are in their development, and works in collaboration to enhance the specific life skills that are needed to modify their thoughts and behaviors.
Upon completion of services and behavioral modifications each client can expect:
